It seems that if, when you first wake up, you make an effort to remember what you dreamed about, you will!
So, yesterday morning I remembered two dreams. One fairly normal, and one REALLY ODD! (I seem to have odd dreams a lot, by the way).
One dream was about teaching the Junior Master Gardener class. In my dream it was totally disorganized and chaotic, and we kept skipping steps or getting things wrong in general. Typical anxiety dream, as I taught the actual class this evening!
The other dream was the odd one. It was something about being in the living room of a house for sale, and in the middle of the living room was this double wide casket (yeah, you think *that's* weird), and in the casket was this (alive) guy in a suit, with a cat in a costume. All around the casket were cats in costumes (see?!). I asked the guy what was going on, and for some reason he didn't want the house to be sold, so he said something along the lines of, "usually the cats in costumes make them leave pretty quick." Yeah. That's all I remember. Strange.
I remembered last night's dream when I first woke up this morning, but now I can't recall it. I may need to start making initial notes in a notebook by the bed so that I don't lose them!

Dreams
I often don't remember my dreams. Sometimes when I do remember them, they are so disconnected from me and my existence that I wonder if they are somehow remembrances of past lives, psychic connections...
I have dreamed of being a small boy about to be killed by my drunk father.
I have woken from a dream speaking a language I don't know.
I have dreamed about hearing a tornado siren going off and waking me up all night long, on the night that tornadoes were ripping through a town 15 miles away (there are no tornado sirens in my town, by the way).
I have dreamed (experienced?) a presence interacting with me while I lay in the bed (a cat, jumping up on the bed and curling up next to me, when there was no animal in the room), and heard a woman speak my name (woken up, terrified, finally brave enough to turn the light on to an empty room).
Most times, I don't remember my dreams.
Often, I dream a mundane dream about my significant other cheating on me / announcing they are leaving me (over, and over... and over).
I had a recurring dream as a child about being abandoned by my sister.
Dreams are often the land of fears. Maybe I am glad to not remember.
